​Welcome to Mount Pleasant Cemetery!

 

The Mt. Pleasant Cemetery is located on County Highway F, about 1.5 miles north of the town of High Hill, Missouri. It is a community cemetery.



The present cemetery was established in 1880 by a deed conveying ownership of 6.025 acres of land encompassing the currently developed cemetery to the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Society.  In August 1956 the cemetery was incorporated as a General Not For Profit Corporation under the name of the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Association, Inc.  In 2011 the cemetery purchased additional land abutting the northern border of the original cemetery for future expansion as the need arises.

The cemetery is supported and maintained by the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Association.  Each year in May the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery Association holds an annual meeting. Those associated with the cemetery are welcome to join us. 

The cemetery is in the process of inventorying the grave sites and is hoping to complete this by the end of this year.  It is intended that photographs of each headstone be included.  If a family does not wish a photograph place here please contact the association.  Also, if you wish additional photographs or obituary to be included please contact the association.
